I use a credit card to buy almost everything. I have two main cards I use that I chose specifically because they have great rewards programs and no annual fee. I pay them off in full every month, and I figure I may as well earn some extra rewards on the things I’m buying anyway – groceries, gas, cell phone bill, etc.
One of my primary cards is the American Express Blue card, which has a great rewards program and no annual fee. What I did not know until very recently is that this card, and a lot of other Amex cards, also have a little something called Amex Offers attached to them.
Did you know this??
When I found out I thought, “Oh too bad, my card must not have Amex Offers.” And then I logged onto my account and, what do you know, there they were, just sitting there waiting for me to save to my card. Money I was basically turning my back on. What?!
It’s so simple to use. When you log into your Amex account and scroll down a bit you’ll see two tabs: Latest Transactions and Amex Offers For You. Click Amex Offers For You and there you’ll find a curated list based on places you’ve shopped before and where you live. You scroll through to browse the offers and save them directly to your card.
All you do to save the Offers to your card is click “Save Offer.” That is it. No coupons, no codes, nothing to remember. You pay full price in the store and the Offer savings are deducted directly from your Amex statement.
Seriously, how did I not know about this??

Guess where I’ll be stocking up on Back to School supplies now? Amazon! Did you see that deal? $20 back when you spend $40. I can’t get even get over it.
Other current offers that have great Back to School potential are JC Penney, Bed Bath and Beyond, Sports Authority, Dollar Tree…and many, many more.
Perhaps the best part is that there are no strings attached. It’s just a plain and simple card member benefit. Nothing else involved – other than free money. Yes, please!
